Domaine Gueugnon Remond, located in the heart of the Mâconnais, is renowned for its exceptional wines.

With 14 hectares of vineyards spread around Charnay-lès-Mâcon (71 Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy), Véronique and Jean-Christophe Remond, owners and harvesters, offer a wide selection of appellations and grape varieties of the most fruity to more complex.

Mâcon Charnay AOP White

This wine is made from vines with an average age of 20, mostly on clay loam soils.

Traditional vinification: mechanical harvesting, thermal controls fermentation vats which are before Christmas.

The wines remain on the lees until bottling in April. This wine has a fresh attack, aromatic nose with a fruity mouth. This Mâcon Charnay, in its early years will enjoy an aperitif and during maturation gladly accompany all kinds of bowls of vegetables or fish or white meat dishes and the famous small regional Mâcon.

Mâcon Prissé AOP White

This wine comes from a plot of Chardonnay aged 35 on clay and limestone soils, south facing hillside.

Traditional vinification: mechanical harvesting, thermal controls fermentation vats which are before Christmas.

The wines remain on the lees until bottling in April.

This wine has a delicious attack, aromatic nose with a round and fruity mouth.

EExcellent as an aperitif, it fittingly accompany white meats and sauces creamed fish.

White Burgundy AOP Vieilles Vignes

« Cuvée de l’Aurore »

Selection of old vines of Chardonnay sixty years on clay and limestone soils, harvested early in the morning "Dawn" on which we make a maceration of several hours: part of the alcoholic fermentation takes place in regulated tank. Then the wine is sung in oak (wood of several wines) which completes the breakdown of sugars, followed by malolactic fermentation.

After ten months of aging, the wine is bottled.

Because of skin maceration and barrel aging this wine has a varied range of flavors, and despite his youth, this round wine with nice tannins well integrated with lots of pleasure spicy dishes as well as fish and shellfish dishes, white meats, cheeses parsley paste...

Saint Véran AOP

 

Vines thirty years operated in the municipality of Davayé at a place called "La Côte Rôtie" at mid-slope of the Rock Vergisson oriented towards the rising sun on a Jurassic limestone provides excellent expression of Chardonnay.

Mechanical harvesting, traditional vinification in vats with temperature control during fermentation, aged in vats until bottling in April.

This wine will appeal to you in its early years by the finesse and silkiness on the palate and delicacy will give you pleasure for 5 or 6 years.

Ideally accompanies shellfish, fish and meat sauce slightly.

Pouilly Fuissé AOP

This small parcel of Chardonnay grown on the Common Vergisson at a place called The Maréchaude on a rather limestone gives a wine of great complexity and finesse character. Manually harvested the grapes are pressed and put into fermentation tank and after a few days, the wine is sung in barrels for 2 or 3 years to complete quietly degradation of sugars and malic acid. He stayed 5-10 months.

After 2 or 3 years of aging with dignity will accompany your festive meal !

Red Mâcon AOP

Mâcon Rosé AOP

This wine comes from a vineyard Gamay on very sandy soil than forty years.

Macon Rose is harvested by hand and squeezed a few hours of maceration.

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out under controlled temperature tank to preserve maximum fruitiness and fresh side of this wine that will brighten up your summer table...

 

 


Red Burgundy AOP

This vintage of Pinot Black comes from plots a dozen years on clay and limestone.

Traditional vinification: handpicking, maceration for a few days cold maceration a week, thermal control fermentations.

Part of this wine is in oak barrels (assemblies new oak casks several wines and tank).
This light and fine wine has a fresh attack, a nose very red fruit, well-typed Pinot Black.

Over the coming months this wine is refined and can be served with grilled meat, pork, or beef stew and various cheeses.


Crémants de Bourgogne

 

After a careful manual picking in crates, the grapes are pressed immediately to obtain a white juice for "Blanc de Blancs" and for "Blanc de Noirs", or after a short maceration to obtain a pink juice for "Crémant Rosé" (100% Pinot Noir).

After a first fermentation at low temperatures in the vat in order to preserve as much as possible the aromatic finesse of the grape variety, bottling with foam is carried out in our cellars for a second fermentation. After a minimum of 12 months, the bottles are "stirred" manually and disgorged ... Thanks to the delicacy of "their bubbles" and the aromatic subtlety, these wines will be a worthy accompaniment to your aperitifs and festive meals.
